Women’s Network PEI is a not-for-profit organization based in the province of Prince Edward Island, Canada. We work to strengthen and support community efforts to improve the status of women in our society. We provide a forum for the voices of PEI women, and opportunities for women to realize power, knowledge, skills, abilities, vision and financial security. We also act as a referral service to help women find programs and services they may need. Propelle: A life skills and employment readiness program. Trade HERizons: A career exploration and college preparation program.

Family Violence Prevention Services Inc. is a community volunteer organization, based on the principles of justice, equality, and peace. They are dedicated to the eradication of physical, sexual, and emotional violence in families through advocacy, prevention programs, and the provision of quality services designed to empower and support those affected by family violence.

Anderson House is committed to serving all those who are leaving violent living situations who currently, or at any point of their life have identified, or have been identified as a woman.

Community Legal Information is a registered charity that helps residents of Prince Edward Island understand the law and navigate the justice system in the province. If you have questions regarding the legal system or are currently in a situation that involves the law and are unsure how to proceed, we are here to help.

The Native Council of Prince Edward Island is a Community of Aboriginal People residing off-reserve in traditional Mi’kmaq territory. NCPEI is the self governing authority for all off-reserve Aboriginal people living on Epekwitk (PEI).

The vision of the NCPEI is to have a strong political and structured organization that can deal effectively with other Governments, pursue renewal, while expanding some of its current activities. The NCPEI will be strong in its economic development capacity to develop business, tourism, and services for the organization and its members. The NCPEI will establish social activities which nurture Aboriginal identities, Aboriginal excellence in sports, as well host culturally sensitive programs for children, youth, adults, and Elders. The NCPEI regards both traditional and contemporary activities as beneficial.

 

Blooming House is an emergency shelter that provides overnight housing (from 8pm to 8am, with some exceptions depending on the weather) to woman identified individuals. Blooming House has taken steps to ensure they are able to provide safer spaces for trans women and are currently in conversation with the Human Rights Network to gain insight on their ability to safely house non-binary and gender non-conforming members of the community.

Charlottetown Community Outreach Centre

The Community Outreach Centre is a community based collaboration that works to empower and build further capacity with those whom they serve. COC is a collective of shelters, non-governmental organizations and government service providers. They strive to develop and run programs that serve the needs of our community as identified by our community. COC is welcoming to all folx of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Career Development Services supports those who are underemployed, unemployed, and face barriers to employment. They provide career counselling and assessments, interview prep, accessing funding for education, among other vital services to those in the job market in a non-judgement environment. CDS staff have undergone Safer Spaces training through PEERS Alliance.

Eileen Conboy is the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response office at the University of Prince Edward Island. She provides survivor-centered, intersectional support services for students who are survivors of sexual violence.

Generous Spaces (Charlottetown) is an LGBTQ2S+ and Christian Community that meets every third Wednesday of the month in Charlottetown.
